I started thinking of the airline masks, too. I'm glad you went there. I think it totally applies. You can't try to help anyone if you don't think helping yourself is a good idea! Clearly the guy has issues, and I'm sure he perceives that his biggest is that his affair was an act of "selfishness." There's probably way more going on than that, don't you think? The thing that has killed me about Sanford is the way many commentators have praised him for "talking about his feelings." I just don't see why that makes him any better or any worse than any other cheating spouse. So what if he thinks this other woman is his "soulmate?" Do yoiu think that makes his wife feel any better?
