We have been devoted to raising our child with lots of exposure to other faiths. He has participated in Inter-Faith camp for the past three summers. The mission of the camp is to promote peace and justice. The first time he came home he said he wanted to be buddhist/muslim/earth based. It seems that for him and often for us our deepest understanding of God comes from within. That understanding, if we can really have it, has got to be peace, hope, compassion. I connect with what you reflect...clergy/church create walls and stumblings for experiencing God.
